1. Introduction
Light Wallet ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application and related services.
Light Wallet is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet. We do not have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or funds at any time.
2. Information We Collect
Our guiding principle is to collect as little information as possible.
2.1 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Private Keys & Seed Phrases: These are encrypted and stored locally on your device only. We never have access to them.
- Personal Information: We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or address.
- Financial Information: We do not collect credit card numbers, bank account details, or purchase history.
- Location Data: We do not collect precise or approximate location.
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Crash Data: Anonymous crash reports are collected via Firebase Crashlytics to improve app stability. This data is not linked to your identity.
- Usage Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated data about how features are used is collected via Firebase Analytics. This data is not linked to your identity.
- Device Identifiers: A randomly generated device ID is collected by Firebase for crash reporting and analytics. This is not your advertising ID.
- Push Notification Token: A device token is collected via Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications (e.g., price alerts, transaction notifications).
3. How We Use Information
We use the limited anonymous data we collect exclusively to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Monitor and fix crashes and performance issues.
- Deliver push notifications you have opted into.
- Analyze anonymous usage trends to improve user experience.
4. Third-Party Services & SDKs
We use the following third-party services that may process data:
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google): Collects anonymous crash reports and device information for stability monitoring.
- Firebase Analytics (Google): Collects anonymous usage events for product analytics.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): Processes device push notification tokens for delivering notifications.
- Blockchain Nodes & APIs: When you check balances or broadcast transactions, your public wallet address and IP address may be visible to third-party blockchain node providers.
- WalletConnect: When you connect to decentralized applications (DApps), session information is processed through WalletConnect's relay servers.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Biometric Data
Light Wallet supports biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID / Fingerprint) to unlock your wallet and authorize transactions. Biometric data is processed entirely by your device's operating system (iOS Secure Enclave / Android Keystore). We never access, store, or transmit your biometric data.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We do not maintain user accounts or store personal data on our servers. Anonymous crash and analytics data is retained by Google Firebase according to their standard retention policies (typically 90 days for crash data).
To delete all local data, simply uninstall the app from your device. All wallet data, preferences, and cached information will be permanently removed.
7. Cryptocurrency Risk Disclosure
Light Wallet is a non-custodial wallet. This means:
- You have sole control over your private keys and funds.
- We cannot access, recover, freeze, or reverse any transactions.
- If you lose your seed phrase, your funds are permanently lost.
- You are solely responsible for safeguarding your recovery phrase.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible. We are not responsible for any loss of funds resulting from user error, phishing, or unauthorized access to your device.
8. Children's Privacy
Light Wallet is not intended for use by children under 18. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
9. Data Security
- All network communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Private keys are encrypted using the device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).
- We do not use advertising identifiers (AD_ID permission is explicitly removed).
